Adam Greenberg And The Road To Completing His Dream Of One At Bat
I have been fortunate enough to amass a nice collection of
autographed baseball cards. Among
those I prize the most are some of the cards you have seen already on this blog
from Hall of Fame players like Nolan Ryan, Hank Aaron, Duke Snider, Tom Seaver
and Carlton Fisk. But there is one
autograph card that I haven’t shared with you that I prize just about as much
as the cards I have mentioned. It
is not in mint condition, there’s a good size chip at the bottom the card.
Until today, it had little monetary value. The player on this card did not break any records, as a
matter of fact his official MLB career stat line is 1 game played, 1 plate appearance, 0 at-bats
with a 1.000 on-base percentage.
Here is the card I am talking about.
A 2004 Bowman’s Best First Year Autograph Card of Adam
Greenberg.
Before you shake your head in bewilderment as to why I
include this card in a category filled with greats of the game, allow me to
explain. One of the main reasons I
collect cards is to collect stories.
These little 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 pieces of cardboard help me chronicle
players’ lives, both on the field and

2012 Bowman Platinum Baseball Box Break Recap and Review
Bowman Platinum Baseball has been slightly reworked for 2012
and the minor tweets work quite well.
What carries over is the wide appeal to a variety of collectors, both
hit seekers and set builders, all in a premium package. It remains a gold mine
for “rainbow” PC collectors and the addition of die cuts, whole memorabilia
redemptions from the Arizona Fall League and the continuation of Bowman Black
autos makes 2012 Bowman Platinum Baseball one of the better boxes of cards this
year.
Bowman Platinum falls under our premium cards category. Each box contains 20 packs with 5 cards
per pack. Each box delivers 2
Refractor On-Card Autographs and 1 Refractor Autographed Relic.
Here are some of the cards we pulled.

Results Of Our Week Three Contest Challenge Questions
This is shaping up to be a little bit of a weird week in fantasy football. There we players with monster point totals and stud the way under performed. In a twist on our version of fantasy football, instead of asking you who will rack up fantasy points, we asked questions related to who you would bench this week, Michael Turner of the Atlanta Falcons or Chris Johnson of the Tennessee Titans. Here are the two challenge questions we posed.
1 - Who will have the LEAST total fantasy points for this week, Turner or Johnson?
2 - As a bonus question, how many total combined RUSHING year will Turner and Johnson accumulate? If your answer is within 30 yards WITHOUT GOING OVER you get the bonus entry.
Everyone received one contest entry just for leaving a guess.
Those of you that selected Chris Johnson for question 1 were correct. According to NFL.com, Michael
