We Will Be Giving Away A Bunch Of Prizes During Our LIVE Halftime Box Break Thanks To Panini America

It used to be that your halftime entertainment choices on the biggest day in Football were numerous, but this year it is down to two.  There is Beyoncé and for those of you that can break out of your food comma to grab the remote, there is the long running, ever popular and absolutely adorable Puppy Bowl.  

But what if you are a card collector looking for something more tailored to your interests?  We are happy to announce we've got you covered.  There is now a third choice.  All About Cards will be doing a LIVE Halftime Box Break of some great cards that Panini America will be supplying and the best part is we will be giving those cards away to some of you who tune in.

In addition to the Halftime Break, we will be giving away some other cool prizes, thanks to Panini, at the end of each quarter of the game.  We will also giveaway something to the person that comes closest to guessing the final score of the game.

2012 Panini Prime Signatures Football Box Break Recap And Review

I was rather critical of 2011 Panini Prime Signatures Football last year.  The majority of my criticism was levied on the checklist of hits where it appeared the likelihood of pulling a big hit was lower than usual.  To Panini’s credit, the 2012 release of Prime Signatures Football takes bold moves towards a more evenhanded product.  As a small example, there are twice as many chances to pull a Tom Brady autograph this year.  There are new hit cards like dual signed Greatest Combo Signatures, Rookie Extreme Prime Materials Jumbo featuring on-card autographs with a jumbo prime swatch numbered to 99 or less and NFL Shield versions numbered to 1 and Pen Pals Autographs features Dual, Triple, Quad, Hexa and Octo versions.  With a great rookie class and the product returning at the same price point, 2012 Panini Prime Signatures just might be the comeback product of the year and one that I can get behind.

2012 Panini Black Football Box Break Recap And Review

Black has been the signal that Panini is putting out some specialty cards with Black boxes and Black Friday cards being sought out by collectors.  Now we have a set accessible to all collectors with 2012 Panini Black Football cards.  As with other cards that are black edge-to-edge, issues with chipping and noticeable edge wear are always a concern.  While Panini Black is not immune, from the box we opened, these issues seem to be at a minimum, which leaves you with some gorgeous cards and some great potential pulls.  With all cards being numbered to 349 or less, it seems these cards should at least retain their value if not increase over time.

Panini Black Football fits into our premium cards category.  Each box contains1 - 12 card pack with Five Autographs or Memorabilia cards with at least three autos.

2012 Press Pass Legends Racing Trading Cards Box Break Recap and Review

Legend is a somewhat overused term but 2012 Press Pass Legends Racing uses it effectively.  It is a history lesson of racing in a box. Press Pass finishes 2012 strong with Legends Racing, an amazing set of cards.

We classify 2012 Press Pass Legends Racing as premium cards.  Each hobby box contains 3 mini boxes.  Each mini box contains 6 – 5 card packs with one Autograph card and one Race-Used memorabilia card for a total of 6 hits per hobby box.

2012 Panini Playoff Prime Cuts Baseball Box Break Recap And Review

I have one question for you. 

Would you be willing to spend approximately $75 a card for a chance to pull a once in a lifetime kind of hit that includes memorabilia-laden cards of Ty Cobb, Lou Gehrig, Jackie Robinson, Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, Dizzy Dean, Rogers Hornsby and Bill Dickey or autograph cards of Hall of Famers such as Ernie Banks, Johnny Bench, Stan Musial, Nolan Ryan, Yogi Berra, Frank Robinson, and Brooks Robinson?

The Complete Results Of This Years National Baseball Hall Of Fame Balloting

For the first time since 1996 and only the 8th time since voting began in 1936, the Baseball Writers Association of America did not elect anyone to be enshrined in the National Baseball Hall of Fame.  Craig Biggio, in his first year of eligibility, came the closest to reaching the 75% ballot threshold needed, falling just 39 votes short of election, appearing on 388 out of the 569 ballots.  Jack Morris, the returning player with the highest vote total, was just behind Biggio with 385 votes.  Morris has been on the ballot for 14 years now and has one more year of eligibility. 

2012 Topps Triple Threads Football Box Break Recap And Review

Last year Topps added an additional hit to each mini box of Triple Treads Football.  Those hits, called unity cards, are gone in 2012 Topps Triple Threads Football but the additional hit remains, each mini box still contains one autographed relic and one relic card.  The major changes have come from a design level, most noticeable on he base and parallel cards which have gone from full bleed photography to isolated players on faux slate backgrounds.  Triple Threads comes close to looking like Five Star minus some bordering flourishes which might please some collectors but starts to make the releases run together.  The thing that still sets Triple Threads apart is the iconic die cut sayings that overlay the relic pieces.

Topps Triple Threads Football fits into our premium cards category.  Each display box, which holds two mini boxes, contains a low numbered autographed triple relic and a low numbered triple relic card.  Each mini box contains 7 cards.
