Great goalie mojo! Here is our 2010-11 Panini Dominion Hockey NHL Trading Cards Box Break Recap and Review

2010-11 Panini Dominion Hockey is the last of the “hat trick” Panini hockey card releases and certainly the sweetest.

Dominion falls firmly into our ultra premium cards category.  Each box contains 8 cards, which breaks down to six hits of which at least three are autographs.  At least one of those autos is a hard-signed Rookie Card.

Here are the cards we pulled from the box.

Marc Staal base #/199, front and back

Henri Richard silver base #/99

Cal Clutterbuck Jersey #/99

Rookie Autos Trevor Gillies #/25 and Zac Dalpe #/199

Benchmark Dale Hawerchuk Five Hundred Career Goals  #/50

All Decade Jarome Iginla Auto #/50

Ed "The Eagle" Belfour Printing Plate 1/1

Stickside Signatures Patrick Roy On-Card Auto and Piece of Stick #/50
With the better part of the KOHO Revolution logo, this piece of stick is sick!

Overall Look
Attention to detail here is excellent.  Rounding the corners of the plate card, the mixing of foil accents, the use of premium materials and perfect on-card autograph placement are all fitting for an Ultra Premium product treatment.

Quality and Variety of Players
Hot Rookies... got ‘em.  Legends of the game... got ‘em.  The best players on the ice today... got ‘em.

Thrill Seeking Fulfillment and Experience
Collectors sometimes become jaded.  Even those folks will be forced to stop and say “wow” when going through these cards.  The variety of big hits available from top rookie autos to the Patrick Roy stick we pulled to the redemption card good for a miniature Stanley Cup originally given to a member of the Scotty Bowman-led 1978-79 Montreal Canadiens provide not only a thrill within a box, but a thrill in anticipation of the next box.

Buyers Remorse or Speculator's Delight
Dominion is in line with expectations for Ultra Premium boxes across the entire run.  As Ultra Premium boxes go, Dominion is on the less expensive side and the cards are hand collated to even out the distribution of hits over the entire run of the product making it a reasonable gamble and that should leave a greater percentage of collectors satisfied.

Rating
5 out of 5

2010-11 Panini Dominion is a worthy and excellent addition to the hobby of collecting Ultra Premium Hockey cards.
