Duke Snider, Hall of Famer, Dodger Great, dies at the age of 84

Sad news to report, Edwin Donald "Duke" Snider passed away this morning at the age of 84.  One of the three amazing centerfielders of New York City during the mid fifties (Mantle, Mays and Snider) who made the move from Brooklyn as part of the first Los Angeles Dodgers team, Snider was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1980.  Eight time All-Star, leader on the All-Time Dodgers Home Run and RBI list, and a two time World Series Champion, Snider's defensive abilities were often overlooked.  Snider has also been a major part of Topps Baseball Card releases as can be seen in this recent 2011 Topps Baseball Series 1 card from the Topps 60 insert set.   Condolences go out to his loved ones and the entire Dodger Organization.
